Emory Hospital on brief lockdown following nearby robbery

ATLANTA -- Emory University Hospital in Midtown was on a brief lockdown overnight Tuesday after a robbery took place just a few blocks away. 

The hospital, located in the 500 block of Peachtree Street, NE voluntarily went into lockdown from around 3:00 - 3:45 a.m. During that time, officers of the Atlanta Police Department searched for a man believed to have robbed a pedestrian at West Peachtree Street NE and Spring Street NW. 

The robbery happened about 1:00 a.m. A female was walking when a suspect approached her and stole her iPhone. She was not hurt.

A little later Tuesday. officers arrested two people they believe are connected with the robbery.
