The suspect is accused of breaking into beauty supply stores and stealing pricey hair extensions, according to Marietta Police Officer David Baldwin.
"These burglaries have caused extensive damage to area businesses due to stolen vehicles being driven through the storefronts to gain access," Baldwin said. "Damage to businesses and product loss in Cobb County alone is estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars."

Sixteen such crimes have taken place in metro Atlanta so far this year, Baldwin said. Police are looking into the possibility that Ford and an associate, whose name was not released, are responsible for some or all of those crimes.
Ford was charged with burglary and racketeering. Marietta officials worked with the police departments in College Park and Smyrna to identify and arrest him.
