WASHINGTON -- Rep. John Lewis was arrested Tuesday during a march to the Capitol for immigration reform. This is Lewis' 45th arrest. 

Lewis, along with other members of Congress, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi were arrested around 4:15 p.m. in front of the U.S. Capitol during the Camino Americano: Rally and March for Immigrant Dignity and Respect. 

The rally began at around 10 a.m. Tuesday and featured speakers like civil rights leader Julian Bond, singer Lila Downs and Pelosi. 

Lewis' arrest on Tuesday marks his fifth arrest in Washington, D.C. According to Brenda Jones, his spokesperson, he was arrested twice at the Embassy of South Africa to protest apartheid and twice in front of the Embassy of the Sudan to protest genocide.

The Camino Americano Rally was held on the National Mall.
