ELLENWOOD, Ga. -- Police believe the missing 18-month-old child found behind an abandoned home did not get there by herself.

DeKalb County Police Chief Cedric Alexander says Tiona Jenkins was spotted in a place they had searched before: the backyard of a home three doors down from her house on Orbit Circle in Ellenwood.

Officers say the little girl wasn't crying and appeared to be unhurt. She was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston for examination.

For hours, police searched by ground and by air searching for the missing toddler.

Officers say her family noticed her missing at around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Chief Alexander says they're still trying to determine who is responsible for Tiona's disappearance.
