ATLANTA -- A call to 11Alive's Commuter Dude has reunited a metro Atlanta woman with her beloved yield sign.
Amanda Morton contacted Commuter Dude about the yield sign at the I-285 west ramp at South Cobb Drive. Morton said she'd tried several times to get the DOT to replace the sign.
Morton said she had several close calls with other vehicles because of the missing sign.
11Alive contacted the DOT, and the sign was quickly replaced.
Because Morton doesn't remember who talked with her at the DOT, the agency can't track down why their was a delay.
The DOT's Mark McKinnon urges motorists to make note of the names of people you've contacted when filing a complaint. McKinnon also advises that the agency's "Contact Us" page on their web site is an effective way to report a problem.
The DOT guarantees a response in three days.
