ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks were back at practice Thursday morning after dropping the team's season opening game 118-109 in Dallas Wednesday night.
Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 24 points, Al Horford chipped in 20 but quite possibly the best performance came from one the new members of the team.
Cartier Smith, a 6-year veteran, scored 17 points in just 16:45 of playing time. Hawks media relations says that is an Atlanta Hawks record. The team will go for its first win of the season Friday night at Philips Arena against the Toronto Raptors.
