ATLANTA -- Monday marks one of our country's most important holidays, Veterans Day.
Over the weekend, cities across the country took time to honor the men and women who served and fought for our freedom.

Many events are scheduled for Monday. Many restaurants are also offering freebies for veterans. Just bring your proof of service to places like Krispy Kreme, Outback Steakhouse and Olive Garden.
