Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique will offer the gowns at no cost to women who have served in the military in the last five years and were stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Korea or Japan. They will also donate gowns to women whose fiances are on active duty in those areas.
The gown giveaway will be held Monday, Nov. 11 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Brides in attendance will be treated to mini-appointments with Wedding Angels consultants.
"We are so grateful for the servicemen and women who are showing their
commitment to our country," Jacqueline Westney, owner of Wedding Angels,
said in a statement. "There is no better way to thank them by
helping them celebrate their wedding. Our staff looks forward to the
giveaways all year long."
To qualify for a gown, a bride must be engaged, have had a civil ceremony and be planning a wedding within the next 18 months. Visit bridesacrossamerica.com to pre-register, and bring identification and deployment papers to the event. There will be a $20 tax-deductible donation to attend.
Wedding Angels is located at 395 South Atlanta Street in Roswell.
