They were cute -- but they're also calorie bombs!
A dietician with Self.com listed the five cereals that will get your day off to the healthiest possible start. Each one has less than six grams of sugar per serving.
A serving of Cheerios has no saturated fat and just one gram of sugar, plus three grams of fiber and protein in each bowl.
2. Fiber One
This cereal has a whopping 14 grams of fiber per serving, with just 60 calories and no sugar.
3. Mini Wheats
Maybe you grew up on the frosted version, but stick to the original if you want to reap the rewards. Mini Wheats have six grams of protein, eight grams of fiber and 90 percent of your iron needs for the day -- all this with just one gram of fat.
4. Kashi Whole Grain Puffs
This cereal has no sugar, sodium, saturated fat or trans fats. It also has 18 grams of whole grains per serving.
5. Rice Krispies
Consider this a nostalgic pick: with no fat and four grams of sugar, the original Rice Krispies won't set you back very far.
