FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Police have released surveillance video of a man they want to question in connection with a recent death at an Atlanta gas station.
The body of 37-year-old Jarvis Hester was discovered at around 1 a.m. at the Shell station on Fulton Industrial Boulevard at Patton Drive. Police responded to the scene after receiving a 911 call.
At around 5:30 a.m. Monday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner determined Hester was shot at least once and then hit by a vehicle, most likely a tractor trailer. Police believe he was run over in the gas station's parking lot.
Police interviewed witnesses to determine if he may have been involved in an altercation before he was hit, and if the same person who shot him also ran over him.
Fulton County Police Det. Melissa Parker said the body suffered quite a bit of trauma.
Wednesday afternoon, police released an image of the man driving the truck that investigators believe ran over Hester.
Anyone who can help identify the possible suspect is asked to call Fulton County Police at 404-613-5715.
