Carroll Co. authorities looking for suspect in attempted abduction

A sketch provided by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation shows a suspect the Carroll Co. Sheriff's Office is looking for.

CARROLLTON, Ga. - The Carroll County Sheriff's Office is looking for help from the public in identifying and finding a suspect in an attempted abduction.

Officials said the attempt happened in the Sand Hill community.

According to Chief Deputy Brad Robinson, the man depicted in a just released sketch showed up in front yard where a 5 year old girl was jumping on an enclosed trampoline.

According to the girl's grandmother, she heard the child scream and when she came outside she saw the man trying to pull the child off the trampoline. The grandmother started yelling and the suspect ran away.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided the sketch of the suspect.  Investigators said the man's age is estimated at about 35.

The little girl was not hurt in the incident.
