Sam Traquina and Zach Haedt passed out hot chocolate to stranded drivers.
ATLANTA, Ga-- Acts of kindness flowed faster than traffic during Snowjam 2014. One of the photos that went viral showed two men with a sign reading "Free Hot Chocolate".
After dozens of photos were posted on our Facebook and Twitter account of the duo, we talked about it in the middle of our 26-hours of continuous coverage. Almost immediately you Tweeted 11Alive's Julie Wolfe with their identities: Sam Traquina and Zach Haedt.

The men told us both of their wives were stranded in traffic, so they got to together to hang out. They thought it would be a couple of hours. They made a sign and a thermos of hot chocolate. As a joke, they wrote "Tips Welcome". They tore that off as soon as they realized how serious the situation was.
Their story gained 130,000 likes on the 11Alive Facebook page.
The follow-up video includes an interview with the duo. They say their act of kindness went viral because it was one of many that showed "we were all in this together".
