ATLANTA - Roads all across the Atlanta metro are iced over, and the Georgia Department of Transportation says you should continue not to drive Thursday morning.
Periodic bands of snow, sleet and freezing rain fell throughout central and north Georgia throughout the night while temperatures remained below freezing, according to GDOT. Those conditions, combined with darkness, make for extremely dangerous driving conditions.
If you must be on the roads, GDOT officials urge you to travel in the right two lanes of the interstate, which are treated.
