BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. -- A four-vehicle accident completely closed Interstate 75 north in southern Bartow County for several hours early Friday.
The accident happened just north of Glade Road over Allatoona Lake.
The Georgia Department of Transportation confirmed three cars and a tractor trailer were involved in the wreck. The tractor trailer was hauling 49,000 pounds of liquid sugar, but none of it spilled on the road.
Dispatchers could not confirm any injuries or fatalities, but said three ambulance helicopters were sent to the scene.
Traffic had been shut down for several hours, but has since been reopened to motorists.
