MARIETTA, Ga. -- There is one cold, icy reality for the U.S. teams in Sochi.
We're talking about a Winter Olympic sport, the quirky and time-honored sport of curling; and, as you no doubt, have seen, the U.S. Olympic curling teams, once again, fell short of winning any medals.
But now, contrast the disappointment of defeat with the sheer joy, with the laughter, you can find on a rink at the Marietta Ice Center, far from Olympic-level competition.
As our segment from last Wednesday's 10 p.m. newscast shows, that is where you will find people at play, just for the love of the game.
Want to join the fun? The Atlanta Curling Club will hold an open house on Monday, Feb. 24 from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
