GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- It seems the shaking has stopped, but the mysterious questions among the neighbors in Gwinnett County are growing.
On Thursday, 11Alive first reported
that neighbors in a Buford community felt their homes shake for several hours.
"It sounded like when a helicopter is over your house and you hear the windows shaking," said one woman.
More people have come forward saying they felt the vibrations around 3 a.m. on Thursday, they still don't have any answers.
Residents swear it couldn't have been a train; Georgia Department of Transportation officials said there were road projects going on, and scientists say it wasn't an earthquake. Gwinnett County public works said no projects were going on in that area.
For now, the vibrations remain a mystery.
