ATLANTA (AP) -- A DeKalb County woman pleaded guilty Monday to shooting and wounding a Superior Court judge with whom she had been romantically involved.
Marcia Gibson, 50, faces up to 25 years in prison for shooting Judge Cynthia Wright with a .357-caliber pistol March 17 as Wright walked her dog near her home. Visiting Judge Stephen Boswell from Clayton County delayed sentencing until Aug. 28.
Gibson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Wright, 48, had a romantic relationship with Gibson for two years before the judge broke off the relationship.
