A high school senior in Wilmington, N.C. is accused of baking cookies that had one of her teachers hallucinating. The student added marijuana to the baked cookies, police said.
According to a Laney High School's spokeswoman, Senior Elizabeth Coleman was expelled. According to detectives, Coleman called the sweet treat "weed cookies."
Detectives said Coleman mixed weed into chocolate chip cookies and then brought them to school to share in December 2007.
Spanish teacher, Julie Hamby, ate one of the cookies and then complained of hallucinations, a rapid heart beat, and high blood pressure.
Rumors flew through the school, and according to detectives, Coleman confessed to the crime.
Since she's been expelled, detectives say Coleman won't be fixing her infamous cookies for Laney High School students again.
New Hanover County detectives said they're still investigating this case.
Coleman is due back in court February 28.
