A man is in jail in Clayton County after being accused of approaching teenage girls and offering them money for sex. Now, police are trying to find out if there are any more victims.

Clayton police said that thanks to the efforts of two smart girls, they have a suspected pedophile behind bars.

Morrow Middle School is just one of the places police said young girls were being solicited -- some as young as 12 -- for sex.

Police said Robert Antonio Baker, 44, has admitted to parking outside Morrow Middle School and approaching young girls. They said he would offer them money or to buy them things in exchange for sex, and when girls turned him down, he gave them his name and cell phone number in case they changed their minds.

Police said Baker's attempts escalated on Wednesday morning, when he chased two young girls with his car. They acted fast and got away.

"They were able to run in two different directions, one running to Morrow High School, one running to Morrow Middle School," said Clayton County Police Officer Sonja Sanchez. "And then being able to make contact with faculty, and calling 911, and their parents."

Baker is being held in the Clayton County Jail without bond, but police are calling this an open investigation, because since May 2007, they have been receiving reports of a man fitting Baker's description, behaving in the same way.

Clayton County police investigators are asking that if anyone has any information that may help their investigation, to call them at 770-477-3655.
