Police Investigate Wrestler's Former Home

LOCUST GROVE, Ga. (AP) -- Police are investigating after substances that appeared to be steroids were found in a home where a pro wrestler once lived.

Police say the items could be linked to wrestler Mike Hettinga, who wrestles for World Wrestling Entertainment under the name Mike Knox.

Judson Powell says he and his adult daughter had moved into the home and she was putting some things in an upstairs crawl space when she found two boxes. The boxes contained about 20 syringes and several bottles and vials of various substances. He says some were labeled as steroids.

Powell says the boxes also contained WWE contracts and other paperwork referring to Hettinga.

Powell notified police, who took the objects for testing.

Henry County Police Captain Jason Bolton said WWE officials are aware of the investigation involving the substances found in the home.

In a statement sent to The Associated Press on Tuesday, WWE officials said four wrestlers have lived at the home and only one of them currently wrestles for the organization.

The statement says that wrestler has denied the items belonged to him.

WWE also said that its wellness policy prohibits the use or possession of performance enhancing drugs.
