UN Secretary-General to Visit Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) -- U.N. Secretary-General Ban-Ki moon will visit Atlanta this week and meet with public officials.

The secretary-general, who is touring several U.S. cities with a focus on global health, will attend a state luncheon at the governor's mansion on Thursday with Gov. Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue.

Ban is also planning visits to the Carter Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He also will meet with Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin to view the Martin Luther King Jr. papers.
