A federal investigation into a construction accident at Lenox Square Mall is expected to get underway soon. Two workers were injured when a wall collapsed about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

It happened as the men were working on an expansion of the Neiman Marcus department store. A 15 foot block wall collapsed during a demolition.

Firefighters arrived shortly after the accident and helped remove the debris surrounding the construction workers.

"They were coherent, but we basically treated the injured and transported them. It has not been determined why the wall collapsed," said Lt. Jimmy Hodges, Atlanta Fire Department

One worker injured his wrist. The other worker suffered a minor head injury.

The construction accident is to be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Work on the project resumed once the debris was cleaned up.
