92 shell casings recovered in shooting at SE Atlanta apartment complex

ATLANTA - Bullets from five different weapons were unleashed Thursday morning at the Forrest Cove Apartments on New Town Circle, SE.
 
Atlanta police said, they responded to a person shot call around 11:47 p.m. The victim, a man who was visiting family and friends who live at the apartment complex, was shot.
 
He was taken to Grady Hospital.
 
Police found 92 shell casings from 7.62-, .223-, .25-, .45- and .40-caliber weapons while processing the scene. They said the man was parking his vehicle when he came under heavy gunfire. 
 
Police said earlier that night around 9:14 p.m., another person visiting the same apartment was also targeted. Multiple round were shot through the apartment window. In this case, the residents inside the apartment were able to identify the suspect as 26-year-old Marterius Jordan.
 
Police have not said if an arrest was made and do not believe the incidents are related. The investigation continues.
