Kids hit in South Fulton bouncy house shooting

The kids were jumping in a bounce house when the gunfire erupted.

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. -- Two children and an adult were taken to the hospital after being shot Thursday night in South Fulton. 

The incident happened around 6:50 p.m., at a home at 1050 Buckhurst Dr., according to Fulton County Police Cpl. Partrena Smith.

Witnesses and police confirmed that there was a birthday party was happening at a the home. Children were said to be playing in a bounce house when gunshots rang out.

Police initially thought just one child was shot, but later confirmed that another child and one adult were also transported to local hospitals with gunshot wounds. None of the victims' conditions were immediately known.

Deanna Titus was at the at the house with her daughter and 3-year-old grandson when the shooting happened.

"We just know the kids were outside playing and we heard a whole bunch of gunshots and then my daughter comes running with her son who was shot in the back," Titus said as she headed to the hospital to be with her grandson.

She said she doesn't know what happened but said she was in the back room when the shooting started.

"It was over 20, 30 gunshots," she said.

Several police evidence markers were scattered up and down the street as police conducted their investigation. 

"It's really. It's bad," Titus said about the scene.
