Facebook death threat lands man in jail

Arrest over threats on Trump Facebook post

MILTON, Ga. – A Facebook debate over the presidential race landed one Georgia man in jail.

Jason Kauti, 37, is charged with dissemination of information relating to terroristic acts.

According to a police report, an Alpharetta woman claims that on July 23 she commented on a Facebook post about Donald Trump saying that she thought he was a racist.

Police said that woman told them she received a lot of feedback on her comment and that one of the responses came from Kauti who said, “if we ever cross paths, I will kill you and your family."

The victim told police that she didn’t take that comment lightly and had already alerted Facebook to the threatening post and blocked Kauti

Kauti was taken into custody at the Fulton County Jail on Aug. 25.
