Witnesses: Man robbed GameStop with 'assault rifle'

MARIETTA, Ga. -- A man that witnesses believe was armed with an assault rifle made off with an undisclosed amount of cash on Saturday when police say he robbed a Marietta game store.

Officers responded to the GameStop located in the 3600 block of Dallas Highway SW around 10 a.m. to calls that the location had been robbed.

The suspect was described as a black male with light skin color and had a tall and thin build.  He was last seen waring dark pants, a light gray sweatshirt with red lettering on the chest and black stripes on the sleeves and a black hooded shirt used to cover the suspect's head.

Witnesses said the man fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3945. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a reward of up to $2,000 by contacting Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta at 404-577-8477.  They can also text "CSA" plus a tip to 274637.
