Police need help finding shooting suspect

Atlanta Police are looking for help from the public in relation to a victim that was shot after she returned home in October 2016.

At a news conference Friday afternoon, Atlanta Police Major Adam Lee III said Tychika Hefflin was robbed and shot to death in the 200 block of Harwell Place in northwest Atlanta as she walked to her apartment on October 18, 2016.

Surveillance video showed a male in a brown hoodie and dark colored pants robbing Hefflin at gunpoint before shooting her and hopping into the passenger side of a dark-colored sedan and riding off.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477 or 404-577-TIPS. Information leading to an arrest in this case is eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
