Police seek suspect in fatal shooting at convenience store

ATLANTA -- Authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was shot to death during what police believe was a robbery at an Atlanta convenience store.

The victim's body was discovered early Monday morning at Big Brother Food Mart in the 870 block of Norwood Road in southeast Atlanta.

Atlanta Police Capt. Paul Guerrucci said the victim was a clerk at the store. He was shot multiple times inside the building. No one has been arrested.

The building's landlord, Paltu Roy, told investigators the store owner arrived at the food mart to close it for the night and found his employee dead inside. The victim's name was not released.

Authorities have released surveillance footage of the robbery and are asking anyone who recognizes the man to contact them. They warn that the suspect is considered very dangerous.
