Suspects arrested in string of Marietta armed robberies

MARIETTA, GA - MARIETTA, Ga. -- Police have arrested three people in connection with a string of armed robberies in Marietta.

Tyvonne Lamont Wiley, 20, Tevin Deshaun Mitchell, 22, and Torey Bryson Starling, 23, were arrested and charged with armed robbery. The arrests were made in connection to a Sept. 27 robbery of GameStop and a Oct. 26 robbery of Hibbett Sports.

Police said the crimes have been connected to a string of armed robberies in the Metro Atlanta area.

The Marietta PD's Investigative Services Division received a description of a white Hyundai Sonata from witnesses at the Game Stop robbery. A lookout for the vehicle was sent out and a joint effort by the Cobb Co. PD, Roswell PD, Sandy Springs PD and Atlanta PD enabled officials to secure arrest warrants for all three suspects. 

Police said they've confirmed Tyvonne Wiley is an active gang member of the Get Money Squad (GMS) that is based out of Cobb Co. 

Wiley and Mitchell are also wanted in Dallas Co., Texas for similar incidents. 

This investigation is still ongoing and police are actively looking into both Starling and Mitchell to establish any gang affiliation. Additional charges are expected to follow and police are also searching for other suspects that are potentially involved in this case.
