Two men arrested in alleged stalking of teen driver

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities in Spalding County said, Friday, that they've made arrests in an incident where men in a white truck allegedly attempted to attack a teen driver.

The teen girl being followed said she was driving on Hamil Road in east Spalding County on Sept. 9 when she noticed a white truck following her.

When she stopped at the intersection of Old Atlanta Road and West McIntosh Road, she said the driver of the truck got out and tried to open the door.

The teen said she kept driving and at the next intersection, the man approached her car again with what she thought might be a gun.

She fled to a nearby church and the man then kept driving. But surveillance video later captured the suspect vehicle. That and a description helped lead investigators to 28-year-old Christopher Allen Butler of Griffin, Ga. and his alleged passenger 28-year-old Isaac Jordan Brown of Barnesville, Ga.

The two were arrested and charged with aggravated assault - stalking.

Both Butler and Brown are scheduled for their first court appearance on Saturday.
