Curt Schilling defends Trump checking out 10-year-old girl, says he admires 'gorgeous' children

Former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling made some strange comments when defending Republican nominee Donald Trump, talking about admiring "gorgeous" children.

Schilling was on the FOX Business Network with Trish Regan Thursday and discussed Trump's recent controversial statements about women, things Trump has dubbed as "locker room talk."

When asked by Regan about a video released by CBS Wednesday from 1992 in which Trump tells the camera he would date a 10-year-old girl in 10 years, Schilling defended the comments.

"How many times have you looked at a young man and said, 'Wow, he's a beautiful young man?' " Schilling asked Regan. "And that man was 12, 13, 14, 15 years old.

"Honestly, zero," Regan said, looking appalled throughout most of the exchange. "You're on your own."

Schilling said she was lying, and he tried to back it up with his own family.

"My youngest son is a gorgeous young man, and I've heard women say, 'Wow, he's a beautiful young boy.' To jump to the point where you're insinuating pedophilia or molestation is where you're going with this, because he's joking about this..."

Schilling is a known Trump supporter. However, his defense of Trump's controversial statements regarding women are surprising considering Schilling publicly called out people on his blog for saying obscene things about his daughter. He even got one of the trolls fired from his job because of it.

The former Boston Red Sox pitcher was let go by ESPN in April after making an offensive social media post about the LGBT community in regards to North Carolina's bathroom law.
