NEW YORK, NY - The NFL announced on Wednesday morning the Miami Dolphins' home opener will be postponed until Nov. 19 due to the impact of Hurricane Irma on south Florida.
The Dolphins were originally set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Hard Rock Stadium.
The NFL announced yesterday that in the interest of public safety in light of the continuing state of emergency, the league, in consultation with state and local officials as well as both clubs, would not play the game, but had not yet announced an alternate date.
Nov. 19 was an open date for both clubs.
