Dozens protest vaccinations at CDC in Atlanta

A protest against vaccinations took place at the CDC in Atlanta and played out over social media.

Dozens of protesters ascended on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grounds Friday morning in protest.

The demonstration was organized by the Vaccine Injury Awareness League.

According to their website, they gathered "to protest the fraud, manipulation and cover-up of ‚Äčthe most egregious medical fraud of the century."

Their demands are:

  • That Congress subpoena Dr. William Thompson and investigate the CDC fraud.
  • That Congress repeal the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act and hold manufacturers liable for injury caused by their vaccines.
  • That all vaccines be classified as pharmaceutical drugs and tested accordingly.
  • That all vaccine mandates be abolished and that the integrity of an individual's body and a parent's right to oversee the health of their child be respected without compromise.

The protest is the beginning of their Educational Health Summit in Atlanta on Oct. 15.

A promotional vehicle for the movie Vaxxed was at the protest. The movie alleges a controversial study on vaccinations conducted by the CDC on African American children.

The producer of the movie Del Bigtree streamed the protest press conference on Facebook live.

The CDC released this statement:

CDC respects the rights of individuals to express their views publicly and the agency has worked with local officials to try to help assure a safe and peaceful demonstration.
