PHOTOS: North Georgia readies for the solar eclipse

11Alive has team coverage of this historic event.

RABUN COUNTY, GA. - North Georgia is preparing for the eclipse, and 11Alive has crews on the ground for live coverage of the event on Monday, August 20.

And 11Alive will be live with the Rabun County Tourism Development Authority for their OutASight Eclipse Viewing Festival as the event happens on Aug. 21. 11Alive will be live throughout the day starting with the morning show and will air the total solar eclipse from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with Chris Holcomb and Chesley McNeil.
