GA launches "Look Again" campaign to keep children safe

ATLANTA -- As temperatures climb this week, the governor is launching a new campaign to keep kids from dying in hot cars.

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning is launching the "Look Again" public awareness campaign.

It includes a Public Service Announcement (PSA) features Governor Nathan Deal, Bright from the Start Commissioner Bobby Cagle and others reminding parents and child care workers to look and make sure there are no children in a vehicle when they get out.

"This is a warning. In only minutes, the inside of your car can become a death-trap for a child," said Governor Deal in the PSA. "You can be a hero. You can prevent a tragedy."

"If you see a child left alone in vehicle, please call 911," said a Georgia State Patrol officer.
