ATLANTA – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sent an alarming message to hospitals on Monday.
It warned doctors saying, "Now is the time to prepare" for an outbreak.
The CDC also issued a checklist to help healthcare workers determine if patients are infected.
It stresses that researchers don't believe there are new cases of Ebola in the United States, but says it's only a matter of time before the virus hits home.
The checklist came a day before President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit the CDC in Atlantafor a briefing on the Ebola outbreak.
