Iranian President Hassan Rouhani won re-election in a landslide on Saturday.
Rouhani won 57 percent of the vote to defeat his rival, Ebrahim Raisi in Iran’s presidential election.
In a speech in Tehran today, Rouhani said the country had “chosen the path of interaction with the world without violence and extremism.”
The election was viewed as a referendum on Rouhani’s more moderate policies and the nuclear deal with world powers.
