Swiftwater rescue training held at Six Flags Over Georgia

Fire departments from numerous agencies are holding water rescue training this week at Six Flags Over Georgia.

ATLANTA -- Fire departments from numerous agencies are holding water rescue training this week at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Firefighters will use Thunder River at the park to perfect their skills skills to swim across strong currents, demonstrate swiftwater rescue techniques, deal with obstacles in the water and learn self-rescue and survival methods. 

Departments taking part in the training include: Gwinnett County Fire, Atlanta Fire, Cobb County Fire, Marietta Fire, Austell Fire, Hall County Fire and Forsyth County Fire.
