1 dead, 2 hurt in DeKalb shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – One person was killed and two more were injured in the Boulder Walk subdivision near McNair High School shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday.

DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said the victims were found at the scene of a car accident. Three victims were inside the wrecked car; one was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Parish said all three had been shot.

A fourth person was outside the overturned car. Parish said that person was questioned by police. It was not immediately known if that person was injured or involved in the shooting.

No names have been released.

As soon as the DeKalb County Medical Examiner processes the car, police plan to comb it for evidence in the shooting.
