6 Lithonia apts. damaged in 2-alarm fire

LITHONIA - DeKalb County firefighters worked to get a 2-alarm apartment fire under control Friday morning. The fire started around 7:30 a.m., at the 2954 Parc Lorraine Circle.
Residents in the apartment building were evacuated. Fire officials said that the fire ran through the attic, breaking through the roof. There were no injuries, Capt. Eric Jackson said, and an investigator headed to the scene to determine what sparked the blaze.
A total of six apartment units have been damaged.
