Amber Alert issued for missing child; may be in Georgia

Search for missing Florida 4-year-old

FORSYTH, Ga. -- An Amber alert has been issued for a 4-year-old child in Florida as officials and two states seek her and a possible abductor.

Early Monday morning just at about 3:00 a.m., an AMBER Alert notification was issued by the Tennessee Bureau Investigation. Officials believe there was a credible sighting of Rebecca Lewis in the area of Cove Lake State Park, in Caryville, Tennessee near I-75 close to the Tennessee-Kentucky border.

Authorities believe 4-year-old Rebecca Lewis was last seen in the company of 31-year-old West Hogs, AKA Matthew Clark Pybus, in the 6200 block of Highway 89 North in Lakeland, Fla.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office in Florida, Lewis' 16-year-old sister last saw her sleeping in their home around 9 a.m. Saturday. At about 9:45 a.m., the teen woke back up but didn't see her sister and the family called police.

Authorities responded and used K-9s and a helicopter to look for the little girl, but were unsuccessful.

Later that day, officials say the suspect might have been at a BP Station at 1337 Rumble Road in the city of Forsyth, Ga. where his EBT card was traced. Officials released stills from surveillance video showing the suspect and Lewis.

The child is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is about 3 feet tall and 30 pounds. In the photos, she can be seen wearing a pink dress.

Hogs, from Seale, Ala., is described as a white male with red hair and green eyes. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 220 pounds. He has a scar shaped like the letter L on the left side of his head, a tattoo of a blue cross and another tattoo of a Chinese symbol. He was last seen wearing a light-colored polo shirt and blue jeans.

Rebecca's loved ones have created a Facebook page to help with her search.
