Several acres scorched in Gwinnett County fire

The blaze began Wednesday afternoon at Harbins Park located at 2995 Luke Edwards Rd. Gwinnett County Fire reports the scene is contained, but crews remain at the location working on numerous hotspots.

DACULA, Ga. -- Crews are battling an ongoing wildfire at a Gwinnett County park.

The blaze began Wednesday afternoon at Harbins Park located at 2995 Luke Edwards Rd.  Gwinnett County Fire reports the scene is contained, but crews remain at the location working on numerous hotspots.

There are no immediate fire hazards to the residents in the area.  Approximately 4.5 acres have been scorched.

Harbins Park has a 4.3-mile paved multi-purpose trail, 7-mile equestrian trail, 13-mile mountain biking trail, 4.5-mile hiking trail, playground, pavilions, grills, restrooms and equestrian trailer parking. 

No injuries have been reported from this incident.
