Bicycling bank robber wanted in Cherokee Co.

CHEROKEE COUNTY - A suspected bank robber who deputies said fled the scene on a bicycle is wanted by Cherokee Co. Sheriff's deputies.

The crime happened on Tuesday afternoon around 4:35 at the First Citizens Bank at 3060 Eagle Drive.

Deputies said the robber showed a note to the teller and demanded money. A weapon was not shown and it's unclear if he had one. He fled the scene on a black mountain bike with red markings and fat tires and was seen heading southeast on Parkside Lane toward Town Lake Hills on South Drive. Police did not say how much cash was stolen.

Authorities said the thief was wearing sunglasses, a long sleeve black Adidas shirt, black pants and a black cap with white lettering that possibly reads "Jackson Hole."  He is described as a white male, in his late 40's, 5'10"-5'11" and medium build.
