SWAT responds | Teen barricaded after foster sister is shot

A DeKalb SWAT team is on the scene of a 18-year-old believed to be barricaded inside a residence in the 2300 block of Glendale Drive.

DECATUR, Ga --  A DeKalb SWAT team is on the scene where an 18-year-old is believed to be barricaded inside a residence in the 2300 block of Glendale Drive.

DeKalb County police said the teen, Nathaniel Lopez, shot his foster sister in the foot at the home earlier this afternoon. She was taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

After spending several hours outside of the home, police did not find Lopez inside. Now they're looking for him. He is wanted for aggravated assault for the incident. Lopez is also wanted for aggravated assault for an unrelated incident in Henry County.

Police said he is considered armed and dangerous.
