Dept. of Labor to recruit seasonal workers at Lake Lanier

ATLANTA -- Today is the first day of spring and it's the peak season for career opportunities. Jump-start the season with an exhilarating career at the beautiful Lake Lanier Islands.

The Georgia Department of Labor's Gainesville Career Center is assisting Lake Lanier Islands Resort with conducting a series of recruitment events on Saturdays, March 22 and March 29 to fill 500 seasonal jobs.

The job fair will be held at Peachtree Pointe located at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The March 22 recruiting day is designated for those interested in being a lifeguard or water quality control worker.

All positions such as retail workers, food service,beverage workers, culinary team members, retail workers, admissions personnel, dock workers, personnel to work on the beach at Lanierworld's Water Park and personnel to clean up the beach area will be focused on March 29.

If you don't have prior experience, no worries! Lake Lanier is willing to train you so that you will be an expert in your field.

Those attending the job fair must be 16 years of age or older and should dress business casual with a copy of their resume available.
