Local police seek man who randomly punched child

DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Police in Dunwoody are asking the public to help them identify and find a man who allegedly punched a child in the face.

The incident happened on Monday at around noon as the victim, a young girl, was taking out the trash at Bell Perimeter Apartments at 60 Perimeter Center East. That's when the victim said an unknown white male in the trash disposal room punched her in the side of the face without warning and then ran.

The identity of the suspect is unknown, but authorities have released a basic description and sketch in hopes of finding the person responsible.

The suspect appeared to be between 20 and 30 years old with blue eyes.  He appeared to be between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall and about 170 to 180 pounds.

Anyone with information can report it anonymously at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tipsters could be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
