Climate Change vs. Global Warming

Climate change is often used interchangeably with global warming, but according to the National Academy of Sciences, climate change is growing in preferred use to the term global warming because it conveys that there are other changes in addition to rising temperatures.

What Is Causing Climate Change?

Many major scientific agencies that study the atmosphere have agreed that the climate is warming, with the main cause thought to be greenhouse gas emissions.

What Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions?

Greenhouse gases are components of the atmosphere that contribute to the Greenhouse Gas Effect. They include, but are not limited to: carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, and fluorocarbons.
