Suspect identified in East Point restaurant murder

EAST POINT, Ga. -- Police have identified a suspect in a fatal shooting at an East Point restaurant earlier this week.

Investigators believe 27-year-old Yusuf Abdul Alkarim killed the manager of Ikhlas, a seafood restaurant behind the Shell station at Sylvan Road and Cleveland Avenue, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators identified the victim as 36-year-old Riyadh Nuriddin, a married father of three. East Point Police Lt. Cliff Chandler said Nuriddin's body was discovered not long after he was killed. Investigators believe robbery was the motive.

Anyone who sees Alkarim is asked to call 911 or East Point police at 404-559-6226.
