CARROLLTON, Ga. - Crews rushed to the scene of an emergency landing of a small plane Thursday morning.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, an Aerostar 601P twin-engine aircraft landed at the intersection of Highway 166 and Blandenburg road near I-20 in Carrollton, GA at 11 a.m.
The pilot, who was the only person on board, ran out of fuel and had to land, police said.
The flight departed from Henry County Airport in Hampton, GA and was headed to West Georgia Regional Airport in Carrollton.
The FAA is headed to the scene to begin an investigation.
