It has three rooftop bars overlooking Peachtree Street.
Long restroom lines? Not here.
Wasting the entire intermission waiting in line for your drink instead of drinking it? Nope.
Welcome to the Fox Theatre's rooftop lounge. The public hasn't has access to the iconic building's roof in nearly 50 years. The comeback is about to be epic.

Fox Theatre leadership calls it "the most significant expansion" since the theatre opened in 1929. President and CEO Allan Vella said the plans to convert the former jazz club on the northwest corner of the building is what fans have been asking for: “There will be indoor, outdoor and a solarium to ensure a great experience regardless of the weather."
Vella said the idea for a rooftop lounge came out of the high level of competition associated with Atlanta’s growth within the live entertainment field. The name of the new space, the Marquee Club, was inspired by the sign out front.
“When you think of the Fox Theatre, you immediately envision our legendary twinkling marquee," Vella said. "Standing the test of time, the Fox Theatre marquee is a beacon for patrons of the performing arts and a signifier of nearly a century of memories."
With a total of 10,000 square feet, 4,000 square feet will be dedicated strictly to the outdoors. The lounge will also include several bars that include a lobby, mezzanine and outdoor space.
“We are working with Atlanta-based Lord Aeck Sargent, an architectural firm who specializes in conservation and preservation of historic venues, to ensure the heart and soul of the Fox Theatre is intact throughout,” he said. “From a design standpoint, the transition from theatre to club will be seamless and will lean heavily towards Moroccan themes.”
So, how do we get in?
Access to the Marquee is membership-based, but will only be available before, after and during intermission and cannot be reserved by members or guests for private parties. If available, you can upgrade your ticket to get in.
Access comes with enhanced food and beverage options. Guests can pre-order food and drinks for intermission. They'll also have concierge guest services and access to dedicated self-parking.
How much will this rooftop land of milk and honey cost? No one knows. Rates for memberships and ticket upgrades are in "early planning stages" according to a Fox spokesperson. Whatever the cost, they'll be available to purchase beginning in January 2017.
